Terms of Service

1. Who you are agreeing with

These terms are between you and Shared Authority, a business run by Syed Kashif and Bilal Javed in Pakistan, which publishes listofwebsitesusing.com("we", "us", the "Service"). By using the site or creating an account you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the site.

If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind it, and "you" means that company.

2. What the Service is

List of Websites Using is a research directory recording which advertising technologies are detected on which websites, compiled from publicly published advertising configuration. How that detection works, and where it falls short, is set out in full on our methodology page, which forms part of these terms.

It is a research tool. It is not a certification, an endorsement or a lead list. No listing is a paid placement and no listing can be bought.

3. Accounts

• You need a working email address, and you must keep your password to yourself.
• One account is for one person. Sharing credentials, or passing your account around a team or a group buy, is the clearest way to lose access without a refund.
• You are responsible for everything done through your account.
• Tell us promptly if you think someone else is using it.
• You may delete your account at any time from your account page or by emailing us.

4. Plans and access tiers

Access is tiered, and the limit is applied on our server before any data is sent. Rows outside your tier are never delivered to your browser in the first place.

The export allowance is deliberate and is not a bug. Pro is sold for research, not for taking a copy of the database. The allowance is a pool of credits for your account rather than a cap on each network, so you can spend it wherever you like. If you need a larger allowance, ask us: we would rather raise your limit under an Enterprise arrangement than have you open several accounts, which is a breach of section 6. We may adjust these limits, and if we reduce what a paid plan includes we will tell existing subscribers before it takes effect.

5. What you may do with the data

Subject to these terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the data for your own research and your own internal business purposes. That expressly includes prospecting, competitive analysis, market sizing, and building your own outreach lists for your own use.

You may also quote small extracts publicly in an article, a report or a social post: a handful of rows, a count, a finding. Please credit listofwebsitesusing.com and link to it.

6. What you may not do

The dataset took years of work to build and is the entire product. So, plainly:

• Do not republish, resell, sublicense or redistribute the data, in whole or in substantial part, whether free or paid.
• Do not build a competing directory, dataset or API from it, and do not use it as training data for a model or product that reproduces it.
• Do not scrape, crawl or automate access to the site, and do not use scripts, headless browsers or multiple accounts to gather more than your tier provides. Circumventing the row limits breaches these terms however it is done.
• Do not share, sell or pool account access.
• Do not use the site to break the law, to send unsolicited bulk email in violation of the rules that apply to you, or to harass anyone.
• Do not interfere with the security or availability of the Service.

Exports are individually watermarked. Every export is seeded with markers unique to the account that generated it. If a copy of our data surfaces elsewhere, we can identify the account it came from. This is not a bluff. It is the reason a leaked dataset is traceable to one subscriber.

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches this section, without refund, and we may pursue the loss.

7. Billing

• Pro is sold on a subscription. Prices are shown on the pricing page and are in US dollars, exclusive of any tax that may be added at checkout.
• Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, acting as merchant of record. Your purchase is therefore also subject to their terms, and they handle invoicing and sales tax. We never receive your card details.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel.
• You may cancel at any time. You keep Pro access until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not cut you off mid-month.
• If a renewal payment fails, access drops to the free tier until it is resolved.
• We may change prices. An increase never applies to a period you have already paid for, and existing subscribers get notice by email first.

8. Refunds

If the Service is not what you expected, email us within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund it in full. No form, no interrogation.

After that first window, and for renewals, payments are non-refundable. Cancelling stops the next charge rather than reversing the last one. The exception is where a refund is required by the consumer law that applies to you, or where you were charged in error. Tell us and we will put it right. A refund on an account that has already exported a large volume of data may be reduced or refused, for obvious reasons.

9. Accuracy, and what we do not promise

We work hard to get this right and we publish our limitations rather than hiding them. But you should understand what you are buying:

• Detection reflects publicly published advertising configuration at the time we checked. A site can authorise a network without running it, and can run one without a matching record.
• Verification is rolling, not simultaneous. A publisher who changed network last week may not be reflected yet. Every row carries the date it was last confirmed, so you can judge its age yourself.
• Coverage is a large sample, not a census of the web. Counts should be read as "at least this many".
• The Service is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

Do not treat a listing as advice. Decisions about your business are yours: who to pitch, which network to join, what a site is worth. Verify anything that matters before acting on it.

10. Third-party names and trademarks

List of Websites Using is an independent directory. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to any of the advertising networks, platforms or companies it lists. Mediavine, Journey by Mediavine, Raptive, Ezoic, Google AdSense, Monumetric and all other product and company names are the trademarks of their respective owners. They are used here only descriptively, to identify the technology a website has been detected running, which is nominative fair use.

Listing a website does not imply that its owner endorses this site, and no publisher listed here has any commercial relationship with us by virtue of being listed.

11. Our content

The database, the written analysis, the page structure, the design and the software are ours, and are protected by copyright and database rights. The domain names themselves are of course not ours. The compilation is.

12. Removal and correction requests

If you own a listed website and want the entry corrected or removed, we will act on it. See the removals and corrections page. We aim to respond within 30 days. You do not need to send a legal threat to get a reply, and sending one will not make it faster.

13. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that is being used to extract the dataset, or where we are required to by law. Where the breach is minor and fixable we will normally warn you first. You may close your account at any time, and closing it stops future billing.

Sections 5, 6, 9, 11, 14 and 15 survive termination.

14. Liability

Nothing here limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Beyond that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, lost business, lost revenue or lost data, or for any decision you took in reliance on a listing. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you actually paid us in the 12 months before it arose, which for a free account is nothing.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and the courts of Pakistan have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page shows when they last changed. For a material change affecting paid subscribers we will give notice by email before it takes effect; continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new version.

17. General

If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest stands. Not enforcing something straight away does not waive our right to enforce it later. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent. These terms, together with the privacy policy and the methodology, are the whole agreement between us.
