What Mediavine is

Mediavine manages a publisher's entire ad stack: demand partners, header bidding, layout, video and site-speed tooling. Publishers hand over the ad slots and Mediavine optimises what fills them. It is a managed service, not a self-serve platform, which is why the entry bar is meaningfully higher than AdSense or Ezoic.

Note the relationship with Journey by Mediavine: Journey is the same company's programme for smaller sites, and the two lists are almost entirely distinct. Only a handful of domains appear in both, which is what you would expect — Journey is where publishers start, and full Mediavine is where they graduate to.

Requirements

  • Around 50,000 sessions a month, measured in Google Analytics
  • Original, long-form written content — Mediavine is built around editorial sites
  • Good standing with Google Publisher Policies
  • Largely English-language traffic from tier-one countries

What publishers typically earn

Mediavine RPMs commonly fall between $15 and $40 per thousand sessions, well above what the same traffic earns on AdSense. Food, home, finance and parenting sit at the top of that range; entertainment and general-interest content sit well below. Q4 lifts every figure and January takes it back.

How this list is built

Membership is established from public advertising records — the standardised files and tags that networks and publishers maintain so advertisers can confirm who is authorised to sell a site's inventory. Nothing here is self-reported by the site, and nothing is inferred from how a page looks.

Records are cleaned before they reach this list: duplicate entries for the same site are collapsed, placeholder and internal test entries are discarded rather than guessed at, and a site is listed once no matter how many times it appears upstream. See our methodology for what we check and what we deliberately leave out.

The honest caveat: authorisation records can lag reality slightly when a publisher leaves a network, which is why entries are re-checked over time and carry the date they were last confirmed.

Frequently asked questions

How many websites use Mediavine?

Our verified index currently holds roughly nine thousand unique Mediavine publisher domains. The exact figure is shown at the top of this page and changes as publishers join and leave.

What is the difference between Mediavine and Journey by Mediavine?

Journey is Mediavine's entry-level programme, starting around 10,000 sessions a month. Full Mediavine requires roughly 50,000 sessions and pays a higher revenue share. The two publisher lists barely overlap — Journey is the on-ramp.

How do you know these sites use Mediavine?

Membership is established from public advertising records — the standardised files and tags used across the industry to confirm who is authorised to sell a site's ad inventory. It is not self-reported by the site, not scraped from a directory, and not estimated.

Mediavine or Raptive — which pays more?

They are the two leading managed networks and earnings are broadly comparable, varying more by niche and audience than by network. Raptive sets a higher entry bar at around 100,000 pageviews; Mediavine asks for about 50,000 sessions. Many publishers qualify for both and choose on service and contract terms.

How often is this list updated?

It is rebuilt from the published seller file and re-checked on a rolling basis. Each row carries the date it was last confirmed, and sites that leave are marked removed rather than quietly deleted.
